Weekend sees eight new cases of COVID-19, five recoveries from Parry Sound

Five recoveries and eight new cases of COVID-19 were reported from the District of Parry Sound over the weekend.
The district now stands at ten active cases with one in hospital after one local was discharged from hospital over the weekend.
In addition, two more residents from Parry Sound screened positive for a variant of concern today(Monday).
The health unit added three recoveries and two new cases from Nipissing bringing that district’s active case count to seven including one in hospital.
Over the weekend, a little under 18 hundred vaccine doses were administered by the health unit in the region and 257 tests for COVID-19 were done in Parry Sound alone.
