Parry Sound man facing weapons charges after police respond to Forest Street complaint

A 31-year old Parry Sound local is facing weapons charges after police responded to a complaint of assault using a weapon last week.
OPP’s West Parry Sound Detachment said officers responded to the complaint on Forest Street Thursday.
Shortly after, a warrant was executed along with OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP K9 and a member of the Anishinabek Police Service.
Following an investigation, a 31-year old man from Parry Sound was arrested and faces five charges ranging from assault with a weapon to failure to comply with a probation order.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 9th in Parry Sound.
