The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is reporting only one new case of COVID-19 Friday.
Meanwhile, seven more cases were resolved overnight bringing the total number of active cases in the district to 23.
Most of the recovered cases were in the Parry Sound District, with only nine active cases remaining there, while 14 cases are still active in Nipissing District.
Found in Nipissing and currently self-isolating, the positive case is between the age of 20 to 39 years and contracted the virus through community transmission.
The Health Unit says 587 tests have been conducted in the past day.
