If you know of someone who has made a difference in Parry Sound, now is the time to act.
The Town has announced that nominations are open for the “Order of Parry Sound” the community’s highest honour.
All residents and contributors to the Town of Parry Sound are eligible.
While the Mayor of the Town of Parry Sound, who is the Chancellor and Principal Companion of the Order approves the final appointments, it all starts with the public taking the time to nominate someone who deserves this special recognition. An independent Advisory Council evaluates nominations and recommends candidate(s) to the Mayor.
Nominations must be made January 11th and nomination forms are available online at the Town’s website of by calling the Town Clerk at 705-746-2101, extension 220.
The Order will be awarded by the Mayor at the Town’s January 19th, 2021 virtual Council Meeting. Serving federal, provincial and municipal politicians and judges are not eligible, and no posthumous appointments are made.
