The OPP will be out in full force on the lookout for impaired drivers over the holiday.
The West Parry Sound OPP is taking part in the annual Festive RIDE campaign in an effort to take impaired drivers off our roads.Â
During the campaign, officers will be highly visible as they conduct RIDE checks throughout the West Parry Sound region.
The OPP is reminding people to do their part by never driving after consuming alcohol or drugs and never let anyone else drive if you believe they’re under the influence.
If you are planning to drink or consume drugs, make sure you have a safe plan in place.
Police encourage people to get a designated driver, a taxi, or to make a plan that will ensure the safety of everyone on the roads.
If you suspect someone is driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you should call 911.
