Environment Canada has issued the statement with forecasts calling for potentially damaging winds and thunderstorms late this afternoon and into the early evening.

The areas affected include Baysville, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Port Carling, Port Severn, Parry Sound, Rosseau and Killbear Park.

The weather agency says a line of showers and thunderstorms over Michigan is expected to move east to reach near Windsor and Lake Huron this afternoon with the remaining regions being hit later on.
