At Parry Sound’s October 6th Council meeting council approved the expenditure of just under 1.6 million dollars for the construction of a floating breakwater and replacement of dock C at the Big Sound Marina. The tender was awarded to Kropf Industrial.
Council also approved using a previously approved budget to use $1,293,240 from the Big Sound Marina Reserve.
In addition, Council approved an additional $400,000 towards dock C to be temporarily funded from the Capital Asset Legacy Fund to be repaid over four years.
When all is totaled the project will cost $1,693,240.
