Southern Georgian Bay OPP are investigating a late afternoon Christmas day cottage fire. Police report it happened in the King’s Farm Road area. Neighbours called 911 for Emergency Services at 5:27pm after noticing a fire had broken out. It eventually totally engulfed a nearby cottage that was unoccupied at the time.
The value of the loss has been estimated at 1.2 million dollars, and members of the Ontario Fire Marshalls Office have been contacted to help determine the cause, which is not considered to be suspicious in nature at this time.
