The Fire Danger Rating in the West Parry Sound Region has been downgraded to low.
McDougall Fire Chief Brian Leduc confirmed that from September 10th to 16th, normal burning rules remain in effect.
During this time, campfires for cooking or warmth, fire permits and residential fireworks are all allowed
Meanwhile, daytime burning is also allowed, with a permit.
Officials say it is your responsibility to check with your Municipality before you light a fire to see what rules and regulations are in place.
