A new facility for the West Parry Sound OPP is almost ready to be unveiled.
The local detachment is moving, with a new address and temporary limits on in-person and phone service.
The official move to the new facility at 1 North Road is set for September 11.
As a result, the detachment will not be open to the public and the local phone number will either be out-of-service or may go directly to voicemail during the transition.
West Parry Sound OPP says this will not have any impact on calls to 911 or our non-urgent number, 1-888-310-1122.
They also add that there will be no disruption in front line policing services and officers will continue to respond to urgent and non-urgent calls.
Upon completion, controlled access to the new detachment will be put in place in order to protect the public and personnel during COVID-19.
