Ontario reporting fewer than 100 new cases of COVID-19 for third consecutive day

Ontario is reporting fewer than 100 new cases of COVID-19 for a third consecutive day.

Deputy Premier and Minister of Health Christine Elliott tweeted Wednesday morning that Ontario added 86 new cases over the last day.

She says With another 146 cases resolved, the province continues to see a persistent decline in the number of active cases in the province.

Locally, 29 of the province’s 34 public health units are reporting five or fewer cases, with 22 of them reporting no new cases at all.

No new deaths were reported, keeping the death toll at 2,782.

39,714 people have now tested positive, with 90% of cases considered resolved.
