Impaired Driving Charges Laid Against St. Thomas Man

A St. Thomas man is facing charges after operating a vehicle under the influence.

West Parry Sound OPP say on Saturday around 8:30 a.m., officers were on general patrol on Highway 69 in the Township of the Archipelago.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop and after speaking with the driver, they concluded alcohol had been consumed.

The driver was arrested and transported to the local detachment where further testing was conducted and as a result, a 21-year-old St. Thomas man faces multiple charges.
