Collision leads to impaired driving charges

CARLING, ON-The West Parry Sound OPP have laid impaired driving charges after responding to a collision.

On June 28th, around 3:30 p.m., police were called out to Highway 69 in the Carling Township after getting a report of a single-vehicle collision.

After speaking to the driver, officers found that alcohol had been consumed, and the driver was arrested and transported to the nearby detachment.

Following an investigation, police charged the 33-year-old from Innisfil with driving impaired and having a high blood alcohol level.

His driver’s licence has been suspended, and the vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

He is set to appear in court on August 20th.
