In a tweet released just before 11:00 p.m. last night local O.P.P. tweeted out that they were advising the public of a heavy police presence in the Highway 400 / Highway 559 area and that one man was still at large.
Listener reports of the police activity in the area had started earlier in the evening.
The police described their subject as black 18-20 years old, thin build wearing a white t-shirt and black Adidas pants. They asked the public to call 1-888-310-1122 if they spotted the individual and warned he may be armed.
No information as to what lead the O.P.P. to conduct the search in the first place and no further update has been received at this time.
UPDATE: The OPP confirmed on their Twitter page that the search for the suspect is ongoing.
