Health Unit update – Wednesday PM (Apr.01)

As of Wednesday afternoon, the North Bay-Parry Sound Health Unit is reporting a total of six confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the district. Of the six, three of the cases have been resolved.

Five of the cases are in the Nipissing District with one from the Parry Sound District.

As of yesterday afternoon, 319 tests have been done with 159 returning as negative and results are pending on 148 tests.

Due to the volume of testing across the province, current turnaround time is 4 – 6 business days from when the specimen is received by the laboratory. There are currently four laboratories in Ontario processing COVID-19 tests.
