Ontario adds millions for manufacturers to build medical equipment

Premier Doug Ford announced $50-million for manufacturers to re-tool their lines to help produce ventilators, N-95 masks along with hand sanitizer and other equipment.

Ford also says they have ordered 10,000 ventilators from an Ontario business.

Ford says he wants Ontario to use its manufacturing muscle to supply the rest of Canada with equipment to fight COVID-19, “Ontario has an army of innovators, entrepreneurs, and the hardest-working people in the world ready to roll up their sleeves, support our frontline healthcare workers, and beat this virus. This mass mobilization of government, business, communities and private citizens to slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep people safe and healthy represents one of the largest and most ambitious efforts undertaken by Ontario in generations.”

Ford asked any business that can retool to reach out on the website Ontario Together.  You can find it here.
