Parry Sound hosting first ever Survivors Day

For the first time, Parry Sound will host a Survivors Day for those dealing with suicide loss.  Tomorrow is International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day and a free event has been organized at St. James Centennial Church from 9:00am until 11:00pm.  Scott Chisholm, CEO of Collateral Damage, a national project that works to de-stigmatize and prevent suicide through education and conversation, will be a guest speaker to talk about his own experiences.  The event is an opportunity for loss survivors to realize they are not alone and get a chance to understand the challenges of living in the aftermath of a suicide loss.  Anyone wishing to attend is asked to call Ann at the East and West Parry Sound Victim Services at 705-746-0508.
