OPP investigating break and enter and theft

WEST PARRY SOUND, ON-The OPP is asking for the public help investigating a break and enter and theft.

On December 4th, the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a call at 8:00 a.m. about a theft of a golf cart. While on location, police were advised that two persons had left the location, one on foot and the other in a white Ford pick-up truck with U-Haul on the side.

The West Parry Sound OPP, assisted by the North East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Central Region Canine successfully tracked down one of the accused.

The 40-year-old Midland resident was charged with five offences including possession of stolen property under $5,000.00, theft over $5,000.00 and breaking and entering.

The accused appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on December 6th and is returning to bail court today.

Police are still looking for the other man as according to Constable Joe Scali, he is a person of interest with the investigation.

The man they are looking for is between 40 and 45 years-old, approximately 5’10” and 6″, around 200lbs, has a black mustache, and may still be operating a white Ford F150 pick-up truck with U-Haul on the side.
