Environment Canada has issued a Snow Squall Watch for Bayfield Inlet on the shores of Georgian Bay across to the Dunchurch region.
Lake effect flurries and local snow squalls are expected to develop Wednesday midday and persist through Thursday morning. Local snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 cm will be possible overnight with an additional 5 centimetres possible Thursday before the squalls move out of the area.
Environment Canada may update to a warning at some point Wednesday if necessary.
A reminder to motorists that visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Roads may become slippery and difficult to navigate because of accumulating snow.
