Search still on for missing Aurora man

GEORGIAN BAY TOWNSHIP, ON- Police are still looking for a missing man in the Georgian Bay Township area today.

The man is 56 year old Graham Sirman of Aurora, who was last seen parking his vehicle at the Wawautosa Marina and Trading Post on Six Mile Lake at 3:30 pm on Wednesday afternoon.

He was on his way to a nearby summer home, on foot, traveling with his pet Newfoundland dog. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

OPP Spokesperson David Hobson said that searchers are combing the shoreline of Six-Mile Lake.

The search has brought in canine units, dive teams, and the OPP helicopter.

Sirman is described as being male, white, five feet and seven inches tall, 185 pounds with a slim build, short straight hair, wearing blue jeans and a dark coloured coat and a white ball cap.

Both his family and police are concerned for his health, and are asking for the public’s health in finding him.

“We will search until we find him,” said Hobson.

“We will continue to search until we’ve exhausted all of our search avenues and covered all of our areas, then we’ll migrate to other forms of searching.”
