Man charged with father’s murder back in court in November

MUSKOKA, ON- Adam Kehl will be back in court next month.

30 year old Kehl is the accused in the death of his 67 year old father John at a Kahse Lake cottage.

He’s facing second degree murder, indignity to a dead body, and assault, after what police refer to as a “violent altercation” took place on Saturday, August 11th last year.

The matter had been up in court last Friday in Barrie, with resolution anticipated. However, according to a report from MuskokaRegion.com, the matter was adjourned after a long period of closed-door discussion between the Crown Lyndsay Jeanes, Kehl’s lawyer Mitchell Eisen, and Honourable Michelle Fuerst, Regional Senior Judge for the Central East Region.

It has been put over to November 22nd of this year in Barrie.

While the paper had indicated that the next court date is expected to have resolution, Jeanes told the MyMuskokaNow.com newsroom that it remains unknown what will come up at that court date.

The case will be discussed again via teleconference on November 4th between the Crown, the judge, and Kehl’s defence as part of the continuing pre-trial process.
