COTTAGE COUNTRY, ON- Students in schools across cottage country should have class this week.
The strike that was set to be launched by the Canadian Union of Public Employees has been averted.
If it had gone ahead, all elementary, secondary, and adult and alternate education centres would have been closed tomorrow.
That would have covered the schools in the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board, the Near North District School Board, and the Trillium Lakelands District School Board.
Parents should send their children to school, and don’t need to make alternate childcare arrangements.
The strike was averted by a last-minute deal with CUPE and the province.
