CARLING, ON – Residents of Carling will get to choose what to do with a newly acquired lighthouse.
The township is asking the community for input over the next couple of months.
The Snug Harbour Lighthouse sits on the south end of Snug Island.
“We are very proud of this incredible historic asset and want to ensure that our community gets full benefit from it and it gets used to its full potential,” A spokesperson said in a press release.
Anyone with ideas of how to best use the facility are asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Lighthouse Ideas.” Deadline for submissions is November 15.
The ideas will be reviewed at a public meeting next May to put together a plan to present to the town council.
