The G.M.H.L.’s 2019-2020 season is off to a fresh start with a twist this year.

The league announced earlier this summer that it has launched a Western Division of the league with four teams joining the league for this season playing out of Saskatchewan and Alberta with a fifth team a possible add early in the season.

G.M.H.L. President, Bob Russell in a press release says “the potential growth for this division is strong. Looking ahead to the 2020-21 season, several new ownership groups have submitted applications for expansion with momentum is continuing to grow.

The GMHL will now hold a National Championship, where the winner of the GMHL Ontario/Quebec will compete against the winner of the GMHL West for the National Title.
