PARRY SOUND, ON- Fire danger levels have dropped down this week.

The West Parry Sound Fire Region has announced the dropping of the fire risk from “High” to “Moderate”.

This means that the burning of natural wood and wood products for campfires is allowed, though residents will still need permits for incinerators and outdoor fire places.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact their local municipality to make sure they know what burning activities are allowed.

As of this report, there has been no change in the Muskoka fire rating, which is still at “High”.
