Drive Muskoka raising money for local hospitals

HUNTSVILLE, ON- A local car dealer is raising money for area hospitals this month.

According to an announcement from Drive Muskoka, all three of Jason Armstrong’s dealerships are participating in the Driver for Your Hospital Tent Event, which is in it’s fifth year.

The three dealerships are Armstrong Dodge, Huntsville Honda, and Hyundai of Muskoka. According to Armstrong, the decision to make the event a yearly occasion stems from the belief that local businesses have to give back to their community.

“Muskoka Parry Sound has always supported our businesses, so we want to show our thanks by supporting our local hospitals, charities, social initiatives and more. Giving back to the community is ingrained in our team,” said Armstrong.

“Our hospitals provide care to our family and friends. It’s vital that we give them back the support they need.”

Under the event, $100 will be donated to the Muskoka hospital of the buyer’s choice for every new or used car purchased in the month of August. The hospitals that can be chosen are those in Huntsville, Bracebridge, and Parry Sound.

“Fund raising for a mid-sized hospital in a small-sized town is difficult at best,” said Lynne Atkinson, Executive Director of the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation.

“Jason Armstrong’s Campaign brings friends and funds. The campaign’s advertising is a boost to local awareness of our Health Centre’s need for support and the money raised goes to work immediately buying the best in equipment. In turn, this ensures exemplary care for our patients.”

Atkinson thanked both Armstrong and customers of the dealerships for their support.
