ALGONQUIN PARK, ON – Paddling just got a whole lot harder for certain spots of Algonquin Park.
Although there is plenty of lakes and creeks for people to use, park staff are advising guests that there are low water levels being reported around the park.
In total there are five spots that are experiencing low spells. They are Sunday Creek, Head Creek, Potter Creek, Vanishing Pond, and the pond between Bartlett and Willow Lake.
The reason park officials extend this warning is because trying to use a canoe or other vessel on the bodies of water could be impossible, leaving your vessel damaged or stuck if you try and go through.
“Park visitors should seek an alternate route or expect delays in this area as a result of low water levels,” says Algonquin Park.
