PARRY SOUND, ON – In what seems to be a trend across the area, fire danger levels will remain high for the foreseeable future.
The West Parry Sound Fire Region made the announcement through a press release. It reminded residents, and those visiting for the long weekend, that all fire permits are suspended.
Fireworks are also prohibited, but campfires for cooking and warmth are allowed.
Anyone with questions is asked to contact their local municipality to make sure they know what burning activities are allowed.
