St. Amant headed to trial on murder charges

PARRY SOUND, ON- A man charged with murder will be standing trial.

This week, the preliminary inquiry in the case against Mark St Amant ended in Parry Sound court, with St Amant being ordered to stand trial.

He was charged with second-degree murder after the death of 36-year-old Amanda McClaskin last year. Both were from Britt-Byng Inlet.

She had gone missing after leaving her home in mid-August, and her body was found off Lake Joeseph Road by police in Muskoka Lakes Township shortly afterwards.
