A man had entered the bank, and left after getting handed a quantity of cash. He fled on foot, and no one was injured during the robbery.

The second pair took place after 3:30 p.m. on Friday.  A lone man had walked into a downtown Orillia bank and handed the teller a note demanding cash. The suspect then fled, empty handed, from the bank through the rear parking lot.

About two hours later, the same male walked into a west end bank and again handed the teller a note demanding cash. An undisclosed amount of cash was handed over and the suspect then exited the bank through the front entrance. No weapon was seen during either occurrence.

Today, OPP have announced that Nickerson was arrested on Wednesday by the Barrie Police Service while in the city. He was brought to Orillia, where he is being held in custody for a bail hearing.

He is facing multiple charges, including two counts of robbery, and two counts of disguise with intent.
