The R-C-M-P is not sharing too much information in the wake of the shootings at the National War Memorial and Parliament. Parliament Hill was operating at a medium threat level at the time of the shootings. The R-C-M-P says the threat level has been at the medium level for the past number of years. R-C-M-P will not confirm is the shooter was a Canadian citizen or if he was previously known to police. They will not comment if a weapon has been retrieved. The shooter is confirmed dead. No details have been released on the shooters identity.
