Hot, humid days to last till Friday night

MUSKOKA, ON- Hot temperatures in Ontario’s cottage country will be sticking around until Friday.

That’s according to Environment Canada, who issued a special weather statement this afternoon. The agency says that a relatively hot and humid airmass has reached the area and will remain in place through Friday.

The maximum afternoon temperatures are near 30 degrees, with humidex values in the high thirties for most areas though it’ll be slightly cooler along the shoreline of the Great Lakes.

The minimum overnight temperatures are forecast to be in the 17 to 20 degree range, which should give some relief from the heat overnight.

A cold front coming on Friday should bring in cooler temperatures and lower humidity for the weekend.
