West Parry Sound O.P.P. are wondering how to deter impaired driving after laying another set of charges.
According to the police report, on Sunday officers were sent to inspect a car that was running on the side of Highway 69 in Henvey Township. Once police got there, they spoke to the driver and discovered they had consumed alcohol.
At that point, the police arrested and charged the 37-year-old from Richmond Hill. This is the 19th impaired driving charge of 2019.
The person is charged with operation while impaired, and careless driving. They were released on a promise to appear and were scheduled to appear in a Parry Sound court on June 6th.
As part of the impaired charges, their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Ontario’s police force is reminding individuals that there is no safe amount of drugs or alcohol.
