Vehicle going 70 km/h over the limit pulled over in McDougall

A Barrie man is the 20th person charged with stunt driving by the West Parry Sound OPP this year.

An officer was out patrolling Highway 400 in McDougall Township this morning. Just after 3:30am the OPP says the officer caught a vehicle going 170 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

The 20-year-old driver was pulled over and charged. He’s scheduled to appear in court in Parry Sound on June 18th.

On top of the racing charge he’s lost his licence for seven days and the vehicle has been impounded for a week.
