Sequin Township says it wants to communicate with you better.
So it’s looking for your feedback on developing a formal Communications Strategy. The township is asking residents to fill out an online survey.
“Understanding our community, who they are and how they live, is a critical part of understanding their communications needs,” said JJ Blower, Communications & Program Coordinator at Seguin Township. “Our primary goal is to foster a culture that encourages public participation in municipal government by enhancing two-way communication and ensuring our community has access to timely, relevant and accurate information.”
The survey asks questions about overall satisfaction with the current communications, your preferred way of getting communications and how often, and what topics interest you the most.
“As a new Council, we understand that the most representative public policy is developed with input from an involved and engaged community,” said Mayor Ann MacDiarmid. “Feedback provided through this exercise will be shared with Seguin Council and senior management staff and will help us to better communicate with our ratepayers on the topics that are of most concern, including the upcoming review of our Strategic Plan.”
You can find the survey, which the township says will take only five minutes to fill out, at its website. Hard copies of the survey are available for pickup at Seguin’s Municipal Office at 5 Humphrey Drive, from the Humphrey Arena or from any branch of Seguin Public Libraries.
