Snowfall warning in effect

UPDATE: The snowfall warning has come to an end

A snowfall warning is in effect for the Huntsville, Baysville, Town of Parry Sound, Rosseau, Killbear Park, Bayfield Inlet, Dunchurch, South River, and Burk’s Falls areas.

A Colorado Low is expected to bring wet snow and freezing rain today into this evening.

Snow, ice pellets and the freezing rain will change to regular rain as temperatures are expected to rise this evening.

Because of the uncertainty of the temperatures, it is difficult to know how much snow might fall. Around 10 to 20 centimetres could fall with 10 to 25 mm of rain also possible.

If it gets below zero the snow amounts could be higher.

Heaviest snow amounts are going to be around the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula and Algonquin Park.
