West Parry Sound OPP welcomes new commander

The West Parry Sound OPP detachment is welcoming a new commander.

Staff Sergeant Shaun Crabbe comes to the area following stints in Owen Sound, Kenora, and other northern postings.

Crabbe also had summer postings with Sauble Beach and Tobermory where he acted as a frontline constable, administration Sergeant and Platoon Sergeant.

Crabbe has also been a Detective Constable in the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau in the Drug Enforcement Unit. This posting involved large scale multi-jurisdictional drug and organized crime investigations throughout southwestern Ontario.

He then took command of the OPP Critical Incident unit including overseeing hostage takings, barricaded suspects and high-risk warrant executions.
