As the Town of Parry Sound closes in on its 2019 budget, the supporters of the Rotary Sound Splash Pad are putting in a last minute push to have the Splash Pad included in the 2019 budget.
An earlier on-line petition garnered close to 1100 signers in support of the splash pad. However, the Town requires that a petition must have a printed and signed name on the original copy.
So the supporters have a new petition available for signing so that a hard copy can be placed in Council’s hands in time for next Tuesday’s budget meeting.
Copies of the petition can be found at various locations around the area:
Lane Family Pharmacy, Georgian Lanes Entertainment, The Bargain Shop, Beaucrest Apt., The Friends, No Frills, Waubeek Daycare Centre, The Hub Daycare, Brenda’s Foot Care, Mactier Foodland and Hands The Family Help Network.
Organizers need to have signed petitions back by 3:00 p.m. Friday.
Supporters can also print off a petition from the Rotary Splash Pad Supporters Facebook or the Parry Sound Rotary Club Facebook page and returned to Georgian Lanes by 3:00 p.m. Friday.
