A new stamp collection will feature Parry Sound’s own Bobby Orr. Yesterday, Canada Post unveiled a collection of stamps that honour legendary Original Six Defencemen, Canada’s seven NHL teams and the iconic ZamboniIce Resurfacer. In the new Original Six Defensemen issue, Bobby Orr of the Boston Bruins leads a stellar lineup that also includes Tim Horton of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pierre Pilote of the Chicago Blackhawks, Red Kelly of the Detroit Red Wings, Doug Harveyof the Montreal Canadiens, and Harry Howell of the New York Rangers. The Canadian team logo stamps feature an aerial view of a Zamboni Ice Resurfacer decked out in team colours with logo displayed on the ice machine’s roof. Both stamp series are available now at Canada Post retail outlets and online at canadapost.ca/NHL.
