A local boy is asking people to join him this morning to protest climate change.
10-year-old Sam Mason has organized the protest as part of something called Fridays for Future.
Started by a 16-year-old Swedish activist, Fridays for Future is a movement where kids go on strike from school to bring attention to the climate change problem. Fridays for Future asks questions like “why study for a future, which may not be there?”
Mason’s protest is happening at the McDougall Recreation centre from 8:30am to 9:00am. All are welcome to attend. You can find more information about Fridays for Future at its website.
