Council is expected to approve the tender award for the reconstruction of Isabella Street at its meeting today.
Director of Public Works Peter Brown presented his findings to the committee of the whole for the project that will see the street rebuilt from Tudhope Street to William Street.
Triton Engineering Services told council the project should go to Weeks Construction Inc. The firm came in as the lowest of three bidders at just under $2 million.
It includes a new sidewalk along its 340-metre length.
Construction is expected to being later this spring.
