Three Parry Sound/Muskoka events make FEO’s Top 100

Festivals and Events Ontario’s Top 100 Events of 2019 includes three in our region.

They’re the Bala Cranberry Festival, Festival of the Sound in Parry Sound, and Fire & Ice Festival in Bracebridge.

The Cranberry Festival celebrates the sour fruit, along with live music, a massive arts and craft show, and food. Festival of the Sound is an annual summer classical music festival that began in 1980 and was the first of its kind in Ontario. Fire & Ice is a massive, one-day event in the dead of winter that sees Bracebridge’s downtown turned into a giant tube run, with plenty of other entertainment to boot as well.

The Top 100 represents “festivals and events that excel within the industry.” FEO members submitted events for consideration last fall which were then decided on by a panel of independent judges.

The Bala Cranberry Festival is happening from October 18th to 20th, Festival of the Sound runs from July 19th to August 10th, and Fire & Ice is next January 25th.
