It was Championship Weekend in local hockey with games played right across the region. Several local teams ended up playing for “the gold”.
In “Peewee A” Harry’s No Frills beat Parry Sound Gibson Home and Cottage 6-0.
In the Atom Championships it was Parry Sound McNabb Home Building over Huntsville Lake Of Bays Plumbing 4-3.
In “Midget A” action it was Aben Graphics shutting out Parry Sound Tamaracak North 3-0, while in “Midget B” Parry Sound Doherty’s Masonry won the B championship 10-1 over the Almaguin Ice Dogs.
In Bantam the Sifft Electric squad dropped a 2-0 loss to South Muskoka Highlands.
