A man has been charged with impaired following a crash in Carling Township.
On February 18th, the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a car crash on Shebeshekong Road in Carling Township.
Shortly after 6:00pm police located a vehicle stuck in a snowbank and spoke to the driver and determined that he had been drinking. The West Parry Sound OPP say they have arrested its ninth impaired driver of 2019.
A 55-year-old man from McKellar Township was arrested and charged with operation while impaired by alcohol or drugs, and over 80.
The driver was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at court in Parry Sound on March 21st. The car he was driving was impounded for seven days.
The OPP reminds motorists that there is no safe amount of drug or alcohol consumption when driving.
Anyone who suspects a driver that is driving while impaired is urged to call the police.
