Suspected opioids seized in McDougall Township

Police have seized suspected Fentanyl and suspected Cocaine during a traffic stop in McDougall Township.

On February 10th,  the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 400. The car was reportedly being driven erratically at varying speeds.

Shortly after 4:30pm,  police located the car and conducted a traffic stop where officers subsequently seized suspected Cocaine and suspected Fentanyl. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $13,000.

Tyrel Robertson, a 25-year-old man from Scarborough was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than Heroin), possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine, drive with cannabis readily available,  failure to comply with recognizance, driving while under suspension, and speeding.

The driver was released on a recognizance of bail and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on February 28th.
