Community leaders and business owners are invited to a meeting that focuses on labour market data.
The Labour Market Group is holding a meeting in Parry Sound and Almaguin Highlands. The meeting aims to present the latest census data and how to make better use of relevant community-specific labour market information.
Stacie Fiddler, Executive Director at The Labour Market Group says employment counsellors, job developers, employment & training program managers, educators & trainers, community leaders & Stakeholders, industry associations and local employers would benefit the most from this information.
“We have some new statistical information. We have been able to drill down to the municipal level, typically we have district level data but this year we’re going to be showcasing some new data as it pertains to different municipalities in the area. We’re going to be talking about workforce challenges and issues that are facing the Parry Sound,” Fiddler said.
The Parry Sound meeting is on Thursday, January 31st from 1:00pm until 2:30pm at the Stockey Centre. There is no cost to hear this information but registration is required.
The Almaguin Highlands meeting is also on Thursday, January 31st at 10:00am until 11:30am at Highlander Brew Co. Registration is available here.
