Quebec man charged for driving while suspended in McDougall

Police have charged a Quebec man for driving while suspended in McDougall.

On January 6th, a West Parry Sound OPP officer was on patrol on Lorimer Lake Road. Shortly before 7:00am, the officer observed a southbound vehicle that was known to the officer to be driven by a suspended driver. The officer pulled the car over.

After an investigation, a 61-year-old man from Gatineau was charged with six counts of driving while prohibited, driving under licence of other jurisdiction while suspended, drive vehicle with cannabis readily available and possession of unmarked cigarettes.

The man’s car was towed from the scene and impounded for 45 days. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on February 21st.
