There is a special weather statement for a coming snowstorm in Parry Sound and Muskoka.

The snow is part of a low-pressure system expected to move into the area late Monday morning or into the afternoon.

It will carry on into the evening and overnight hours.

Environment Canada is calling for amounts between 10 and 15 cm.

There could be ice pellets along with the snow in the afternoon and evening, possibly changing to rain.  A risk of freezing rain is also present.

Motorists are urged to be careful as conditions on the roads may be poor at times.
