The Town of Parry Sound’s 2018 “Order of Parry Sound” will be announced Sunday by Mayor Jamie McGarvey.

As the town’s Chancellor and Principal Companion, Mayor McGarvey has been going through all nominations for inclusion in the Order.

Recent recipients of the order include Richard Lund a history teacher who spearheaded the Remembrance Banner Project and has endeavoured to teach the youth about sacrifices given by veterans.

Also honoured in recent years was Denis Miner honoured for countless years volunteering in the community and Gail McDonald who was honoured for her work as Director of the Harvest Share Food Bank.

Today’s presentation is a part of the Mayor’s Annual Levee being held Sunday at the Bobby Orr Community Centre beginning at noon.
