The body of 7-year-old Korbin South has been recovered from the Magnetawan River. OPP underwater search and recovery unit found the boy’s body around 1:00pm this afternoon in 11 feet of water, around 200 metres from the dam. Almaguin Highlands OPP says the boy was playing in the area of the river in Burk’s Falls with other children on Sunday evening when he fell into the river and was swept away by the current. The investigation is ongoing and police do not believe foul play was a factor.
